Nestlé names Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen as new Nespresso CEO

VEVEY, Switzerland - Nestlé has appointed Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen as the new Chief Executive Officer of Nespresso and member of the Group Executive Board, effective November 1, 2025, according to a company press release issued Thursday.

Gonzalez Loeschen, who currently serves as CEO of Nespresso North America, will succeed the current leadership at the coffee unit. Since January 2020, he has led Nespresso’s business across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, where the company reports he expanded the Vertuo system with double-digit growth and market share gains.

The executive brings more than three decades of experience at Nestlé, having started his career with the company in Mexico in 1992 as an assistant marketing manager. His previous roles include Vice-President of Marketing for Nestlé USA’s Beverage Division, General Manager for Nestlé in Puerto Rico, and Chief Marketing Officer for Nespresso.

"We are happy to announce that Alfonso will become the new CEO of Nespresso and a member of the Group Executive Board," said Philipp Navratil, CEO of Nestlé, in the statement. "His extensive expertise and deep understanding of the portioned coffee category, along with Alfonso’s results-focused approach and talent to inspire teams, will enable him to drive performance and execution."

Gonzalez Loeschen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico.

The appointment comes as Nestlé continues to position its premium coffee brand in the competitive global coffee market.
