  • Buterin reviewed Worldcoin, BitTensor, Farcaster, StarkNet and ENS.
  • Vitalik Buterin wrote that the STARK system is super important.
  • Expressing intense praise and interest in ENS, Buterin emphasizes its importance.

Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum and arguably the most important personality in the cryptocurrency community, still researches and evaluates cryptocurrency and blockchain systems. Vitalik Buterin’s research and opinions are frequently followed in the cryptocurrency community as well as the Ethereum community.

His views are considered important by participants in the ecosystem, influencing actions within the community. In this context, some cryptocurrency projects reviewed and interpreted by Vitalik Buterin attract the community’s interest.

The founder of Ethereum, Buterin, posts reviews of cryptocurrency projects he finds key and remarkable in his articles. We, the CoinEdition team, will detail five of these cryptocurrencies that have received praise from Vitalik Buterin and are recommended to be followed in 2024:

1- Worldcoin (WLD)

In an article, Vitalik Buterin spoke highly of Worldcoin and provided insights into the project. Worldcoin is an iris biometric cryptocurrency project initiated by the company Tools for Humanity. Established in 2019 by Sam Altman, Max Novendstern, and Alex Blania, Worldcoin is financially backed by the VC firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Worldcoin was released from beta on July 24, 2023, to market its token, WLD. This is an ERC-20 token with a maximum supply of 10 billion WLD. The current circulating supply of WLD is 124,983,535 at the current moment.

2- BitTensor (TAO)

Vitalik Buterin also talked about BitTensor alongside Worldcoin. He linked to the project’s whitepaper. BitTensor is an open-source protocol that underpins a decentralized, blockchain-based machine learning network. Machine learning models work and are collectively paid with TAO tokens depending on the information value they provide to the community. TAO also lets its users manage their actions on the network to suit their needs while additionally providing external access.

The maximum supply of the BitTensor’s TAO token is 21,000,000, approximately 6,229,868 TAO of which is in circulation.

3- Farcaster

Farcaster, another project with Vitalik Buterin’s support, is built on Ethereum and describes itself as a “sufficiently decentralized” social network. Buterin actively uses the Warpcast application associated with Farcaster.

While Farcaster is yet to have a token, strong anticipation of an airdrop has led to remarkable price increase of related NFTs backed by a16z, Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN), and Multicoin.

4- StarkNet (STRK)

In an article published on February 5, 2024, Vitalik Buterin provided reviews and opinions on StarkNet and its STRK token. StarkNet is a permissionless decentralized Validity-Rollup, also known as the “ZK-Rollup.”

StarkNet is the L2 network running on Ethereum. It offers the possibility of limitless computation scalability for any dApp without compromising the fungibility and security of Ethereum, thanks to the nature of the STARK proof system.

Despite the fact that STRK has not been released- the cryptocurrency community keeps a constant eye on the project, waiting for any announcements concerning the release date.

5- Ethereum Name Service (ENS)

Ethereum Name Service, praised by Vitalik Buterin and stated to be an important project, is another cryptocurrency. Buterin emphasized the significance of ENS in a post on X, contributing to the widespread recognition of the ENS token. Launched in 2018, the Ethereum Name Service is defined as a distributed, open, and scalable naming system based on the Ethereum blockchain.

ENS transforms alphanumeric Ethereum addresses, commonly encountered in wallets like Metamask, into easily readable addresses for everyone, such as “vitalik.eth.” In this system, the reverse process is also possible, allowing metadata and machine-readable addresses to be associated with human-readable Ethereum addresses.

The maximum supply of the ENS token is 100,000,000 ENS, with 30,780,943 ENS currently in circulation.

These projects reviewed and praised by Vitalik Buterin should be closely monitored in 2024, and developments should be followed. Vitalik Buterin, actively continuing his research, thoroughly examines these projects, and the community, which closely follows him, should also stay informed.
