Arrive AI (ARAI) announced plans to use Bitcoin cryptocurrency for paying vendors, clients and employees who prefer it over traditional currency, according to a company press release.

CEO Dan O’Toole will be the first employee to accept compensation in cryptocurrency. The company said it is following the cryptocurrency strategy model established by MicroStrategy.

"We think cryptocurrency is a better way to pay, and as we continue to expand our footprint globally, we think our associates will be happy to have this option," O’Toole stated.

The autonomous delivery network company also plans to consider keeping cash holdings in Bitcoin and instituting a Bitcoin-denominated At the Market program for fundraising. O’Toole said the company plans to use cryptocurrency as an investment opportunity for company cash.

Arrive AI indicated it may create its own digital currency called "Arrive Coin" for use across its ecosystem, including paying employees and contractors, rewarding customers, settling vendor contracts, and processing transactions within its delivery network.

The company is tripling its staff to add artificial intelligence scientists, software engineers, and sales and marketing personnel. According to the press release, offering cryptocurrency compensation aims to attract and retain technology talent.

The company cited a 2024 Deloitte survey showing more than 6,000 U.S. businesses accept Bitcoin as payment. A separate Q2 2025 North American CFO Signals survey of 200 finance chiefs at companies with at least $1 billion in revenues found 99% envisioned using cryptocurrency for business functions long-term.

Arrive AI operates a patented Autonomous Last Mile platform that enables delivery to AI-powered mailboxes by drone, ground robot or human courier.
