  • According to Eleanor Terrett, crypto is using the U.S. elections to make its voice heard.
  • Crypto’s presence in California was reflected i support for Adam Schiff on Super Tuesday.
  • The crypto narrative boosts John Deaton’s chances against Elizabet Warren in Massachusetts.

According to Eleanor Terrett of FOX Business, crypto is using the upcoming U.S. elections to make its voice heard. Terrett stated this during an interview with Tony Edward of Thinking Crypto, explaining how crypto community members aligned with pro-crypto candidates as the campaigns gained momentum.

Speaking with Edward, Terrett noted crypto is influencing the narratives in the campaigns leading to the U.S. elections. According to her, many people were initially skeptical about whether crypto could significantly impact the electoral process. However, unfolding events are proving them wrong, as elements of the crypto industry are growing in popularity.

Terrett highlighted support groups behind the crypto movement in the ongoing campaign. Initiatives like the “Stand With Crypto Alliance,” an advocacy group started by Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN), which has grown to over 310,000 members. She also noted the crypto voters who will vote with their wallets and the Super PACs that have raised over $90 million in Q1 to support ad campaigns.

The FOX Business journalist cited the California Senate race, where the two front-runners, Adam Schiff and Katie Porter, are on opposite sides of the crypto argument. Terrett noted that the crypto presence in California reflected their support for Schiff, showing how significant the industry has become in the mainstream.

Meanwhile, John Deaton, a prominent crypto personality, is running against Elizabeth Warren, one of crypto’s fiercest critics, for the Senate seat in Massachusetts. Terrett believes the crypto narrative will hurt Warren’s chances at the polls because of her anti-crypto position.

Although crypto is not the most significant topic in Massachusetts, Terrett thinks it would play a role in the upcoming elections. She highlighted the support Deaton has received from crypto community members like Charles Hoskinson, who have donated towards his ambition. She believes the renowned attorney is getting such support because he has played several roles in fighting for the crypto industry.
