Prenetics Global Limited (PRE) acquired 100 bitcoin at an average price of $109,594 per bitcoin, the health sciences company announced. The purchase follows the completion of a $44 million equity offering that closed on October 28.
The company now holds 378 bitcoin valued at approximately $46 million. Prenetics maintains a strategy of acquiring one bitcoin daily alongside larger strategic purchases during favorable market conditions.
The equity offering was oversubscribed and included investors such as Kraken, Exodus, GPTX by Jihan Wu, XtalPi, DL Holdings and tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, according to the press release.
"This 100 Bitcoin acquisition demonstrates our immediate execution on the strategic vision we outlined to investors," said Danny Yeung, Chief Executive Officer of Prenetics. The company reported total liquidity of $127 million, consisting of $86 million in cash and $41 million in bitcoin holdings, with zero debt.
Prenetics’ IM8 supplement brand reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue within 11 months of launch. The brand serves 420,000 customers with 80% of new orders being subscriptions. The company provided revenue guidance for IM8 of $180 million to $200 million for fiscal year 2026.
The supplement brand was co-founded with David Beckham and is endorsed by tennis player Aryna Sabalenka. Prenetics describes itself as the first consumer health company to establish a bitcoin treasury.
