  • At the PWD, Tim Draper highlighted the distrust of governments towards crypto.
  • The American investor completed the speech by performing a Bitcoin song.
  • The global crypto market has maintained positive gains over the past weeks.

On Friday, an American venture capitalist, Tim Draper, spoke on the main stage at the ongoing Paris Blockchain Week (PWD) 2023. His keynote speech was entitled “The Decentralization of Everything,” where he ended the address with a self-composed Bitcoin song.

During the speech, Draper highlighted the distrust of centralized governments towards cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin. He stressed that while centralized authorities remain afraid, cryptocurrencies represent an impending, unavoidable transformation.

Additionally, Draper expressed his thoughts on the recent Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) predicament, calling it a crisis of trust.

They have shaken our confidence in the banking system… What a really strong leader would do is build that trust back. Trust the banks that now remain and set them free.

Unfortunately, Draper does not believe the current leadership in the United States can champion a smooth transition from the latest bank failures. He further noted that blockchain, Bitcoin, and smart contracts are making up one of the most significant transitions in the world that various authorities should embrace.

The American investor completed the speech by performing a Bitcoin song he wrote. The poem touched on Satoshi, Bitcoin, banks, governments, and the desire for a new world order. The song got applause from the audience and the panelists who followed Draper on the master stage.

In other news, the global crypto market has maintained positive gains over the past weeks. Bitcoin trades at $28,338, with a 13% cumulative seven-day growth, while Ethereum trades at $1,806 with 7% gains.
