U.S. stocks lower as investors rotate out of tech ahead of Jackson Hole
Investing.com-- U.S. President Donald Trump is planning to visit the Department of Justice this Friday to speak about his administration’s plans for restoring law and order, Axios reported on Wednesday evening.
Trump will deliver an address on restoring law and order, removing violent criminals and “ending the weaponization of justice against Americans for their political leanings,” Axios reported, citing a statement from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
The move comes as Trump enacts sweeping changes across several federal agencies, including the DOJ, which he purged of several people perceived to be disloyal.
Trump has consistently railed against the DOJ over his four indictments following his first term.
Trump nominated Pam Bondi as attorney general and Kash Patel as FBI director- both perceived as long-time loyalists to the President. Both of them are expected to be present for Trump’s Friday address, the Axios report said.
