GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian shares scaled four-month peaks on Monday as investors
counted on super-cheap liquidity and fiscal stimulus to
sustain the global economic recovery, even as surging
coronavirus cases delayed re-openings across the United

WORLD OIL PRICES
Oil prices offered up a mixed market snapshot on Monday,
with Brent crude edging higher, supported by tighter
supplies, while U.S. benchmark WTI futures dropped on

SOUTH AFRICA MARKETS
South Africa's rand weakened on Friday after two days of
gains, weighed down by fears of a rebound in global COVID-19
infections and concerns about the local economy. MARKETS
Nigeria's central bank asked lenders to bid for forex at an
auction 5% above its official rate of 360, traders said, in
a move to weaken the naira as the regulator seeks to unify
its multiple exchange rates. ANGOLA OIL
Angola is resisting pressure by OPEC for a steeper oil
output cut to comply fully with record supply curbs, OPEC

The Kenyan shilling KES= weakened on Friday due to dollar

Democratic Republic of Congo mines minister Willy Kitobo
Samsoni plans to meet with mining companies to agree a
moratorium on confining workers to mine sites due to the

Representatives of Cameroon's government held talks this
week with the main leaders of an Anglophone separatist
insurgency for the first time since the conflict began in
2017, a separatist leader and two security sources said on
