Investing.com -- Oracle’s 2025 AI World conference underscored the company’s growing role in the artificial intelligence platform shift, according to analysts at William Blair.

In a note following the event, the firm’s analysts highlighted the company’s “advantage in monetizing the AI platform shift through its vertical integration of infrastructure, database, and apps.”

William Blair said that “OCI is the primary driver of growth over the next five years (growing at a 75% compound annual rate),” while Oracle’s ability to “leverage vectorized data inside the Oracle database and the integration of AI agents across all of Oracle’s applications” should also serve as “key levers of growth.”

The firm noted that Oracle’s AI business is benefiting from broad customer adoption across multiple verticals.

Co-CEO Clay Magouyrk emphasized “broad-based growth across OCI’s four major categories of customers: enterprise, distributed cloud, cloud native, and AI infrastructure.”

For enterprise clients, Oracle highlighted “non-GAAP gross margins in the range of 65%-80%,” supported by “multicloud database deployments” as a secular tailwind.

William Blair said Oracle’s distributed cloud business “caters to customers operating in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, banking, utilities) and sovereign data centers,” with offerings ranging from “on-premises deployments of turnkey racks” to “a less-comprehensive, white-label solution (Oracle Alloy).”

The note added that Oracle’s cloud-native customers, including ByteDance, CrowdStrike, and Uber, show faster growth and an average deal size of $97 million.

Meanwhile, its AI infrastructure unit “noted robust growth despite supply constraints,” with “better-than-expected gross margins within this segment, at roughly 30%-40%.”

William Blair concluded that Oracle “is well positioned as a major beneficiary of the AI platform shift,” though shares may “remain range-bound in the near term” as the company continues expanding capacity.
