Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) has reportedly won a contract to sell 21 of its 737 MAX jets to Japan Airlines (TYO:9201), Reuters reports today.
The contract is worth at least $2.5 billion at list prices and is likely to be announced tomorrow.
Bloomberg News reported earlier this month that the two sides are in advanced talks over a sale of 737 MAX jets.
"We are still at the stage of negotiation, so we cannot provide details," a Japan Airlines spokesperson said on March 08.
Boeing shares closed at $204.70 yesterday and are up 7.5% year-to-date (YTD).
