Trump announces trade deal with EU following months of negotiations
Investing.com-- Bombardier Inc (TSX:BBDb) on Monday reported a combined $1.7 billion aircraft and services order from a new customer, with deliveries set to begin from 2027.
Bombardier (OTC:BDRBF) said in a press release the customer had chosen to “remain anonymous prior to unveiling their offering in the marketplace.”
The company received an order for 50 of its Challenger and Global aircraft, along with a service agreement. Bombardier said the new customer will also hold 70 new aircraft purchase options which could see the deal’s value rise to over $4 billion.
In addition to the aircraft, Bombardier will provide comprehensive maintenance services to the customer through its service network, the aircraft maker said.
Bombardier expects to deliver about 150 business jets this year, the company said during its first-quarter earnings earlier this year. U.S. trade tariffs are a major point of uncertainty for the company.
