Michigan survey ahead; Applied Digital surges; gold dips - what’s moving markets
Investing.com -- Brazilian planemaker Embraer expects to reach 100 commercial aircraft deliveries per year by 2028, as supply chain issues continue to limit production in the near term.
CEO Francisco Gomes Neto told Reuters that 2026 will remain "a more challenging year for commercial jet production," with stronger growth resuming in 2027. The company forecasts between 77 and 85 commercial jet deliveries this year, up from 73 in 2024.
Embraer, the world’s third-largest planemaker, has been steadily increasing annual deliveries since 2021 as part of its recovery from pandemic-related industry disruptions. The company last delivered more than 100 commercial jets in a single year in 2017.
While engine supply delays for next-generation E2 jets have improved, Gomes Neto said the company now faces challenges with fuselage parts from Europe and GE Aerospace engines for its first-generation E1 jets.
"The delivery outlook range we’ve been providing the market has allowed us to deliver what we promise, despite all the challenges in the supply chain," Gomes Neto said.
