Investing.com -- Frasers Group Plc (LON:FRAS) on Friday said that David Daly will step down as chair after eight years on the board and will be succeeded by Sir Jon Thompson on Sept. 1.
Daly will formally leave the board at the company’s annual general meeting on Sept. 24, 2025, the British company said in a statement.
Thompson joined the board in June 2024 as a non-executive director. Frasers said his background includes corporate governance and major project management.
The company also said it anticipates appointing Andy Lyon as a non-executive director and expects to confirm another non-executive director at a later date.
Those appointments would succeed Daly, Ger Wright and Helen Wright, who are not seeking re-election at the AGM.
Lyon, a former senior audit partner at PwC, previously acted as audit partner for Next and its credit business. Frasers said his financial and governance experience would support the development of Frasers Plus.
During his 24 years as a partner at PwC, Lyon specialized in retail and consumer markets and led audits of several large global retailers, including fashion brands and department stores.
He also held roles as senior partner for the East Midlands office, member of the Midlands leadership team and member of PwC’s retail and consumer leadership team with responsibility for the regional practice.
