Investing.com -- JB Hunt Transport Services Inc (NASDAQ:JBHT) reported Tuesday second-quarter results that missed Wall Street forecasts as lower customer rates and volume weighed on performance.
JB Hunt announced EPS of $1.81 on revenue of $3.13 billion. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.92 on revenue of $3.31B.
The miss on the top line was driven by a decrease in revenue per load resulting from "changes in the mix of freight, customer rates, and fuel surcharge revenues," the company said.
"Oprating income decreased primarily due to lower revenue across all of our business segments, largely driven by a combination of lower volume and customer rates," it added.
