Investing.com -- Porsche (ETR:PSHG_p) on Tuesday posted first-half 2025 global deliveries of 146,391 vehicles, with nearly 60% of Macan models sold being fully electric.

The Macan was the automaker’s top-selling model between January and June, with 45,137 units delivered, a 15% increase year-over-year.

Of those, 25,884 were fully electric while 19,253 had combustion engines, which continue to be sold in most non-EU markets.

Electrified vehicles accounted for 36.1% of Porsche’s total deliveries in the first half, up 14.5 percentage points from the same period in 2024. Fully electric models made up 23.5%, and plug-in hybrids accounted for 12.6%.

North America remained Porsche’s largest region, with deliveries rising 10% to 43,577 units, a record high for a half-year period.

The company said the increase was driven by greater product availability and price protection measures in response to higher import tariffs.

Deliveries in the Overseas and Emerging Markets region also grew 10% to 30,158 units, another record for the company.

In Europe, excluding Germany, deliveries dropped 8% to 35,381 vehicles. In Germany, 15,973 vehicles were delivered, down 23%.

The company cited strong prior-year performance due to 2023 catch-up deliveries as a factor in the regional declines.

In China, deliveries fell 28% to 21,302 units. Porsche cited continued weakness in the luxury segment and heightened competition. Overall, global deliveries declined 6% from the first half of 2024.

The Panamera recorded 14,975 deliveries, a 13% increase from the prior year. The 911 fell 9% to 25,608 units, which Porsche said followed strong sales of the previous model and a staggered rollout of updated versions.

Deliveries of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman fell 12% to 10,496 units, largely due to model availability constraints linked to EU cybersecurity regulations. Production of the current 718 series is expected to end in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Taycan deliveries declined 6% to 8,302 units. The Cayenne saw a 23% drop, with 41,873 vehicles delivered, partly due to prior-year catch-up effects.

Board Member for Sales and Marketing Matthias Becker said the fully electric Macan played a key role in boosting electrified vehicle sales.

He said Porsche maintained regional balance in deliveries despite geopolitical pressures and would continue aligning supply with demand as part of its ongoing strategy.
