Tonix Pharmaceuticals stock halted ahead of FDA approval news
Investing.com-- Nissan (OTC:NSANY) Motor Co (TYO:7201) has suspended production of three vehicle models destined for Canada at its U.S. plants in Tennessee and Mississippi amid uncertainty from ongoing auto tariff negotiations between Washington and Ottawa, Nikkei reported on Wednesday.
Production of the Pathfinder and Murano SUVs at the Tennessee facility, along with the Frontier pickup truck in Mississippi, has been on hold since May, though the company has not disclosed the number of affected vehicles, according to the report.
The suspension comes amid escalating trade tensions after U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration imposed a 25% tariff on auto imports in April. Canada responded with retaliatory measures.
A day earlier, Kyodo News reported that Nissan Motor is scaling back its production plans for the new Leaf electric vehicle due to a parts shortage caused by China’s restrictions on rare earth exports.
