Tonix Pharmaceuticals stock halted ahead of FDA approval news
Investing.com-- Nissan (OTC:NSANY) Motor Co (TYO:7201) will suspend operations at some of its domestic factories as part of a broader restructuring plan aimed at addressing weak performance and excess production, the Nikkei Daily reported on Tuesday.
Details on which plants will be affected and whether closures are permanent will be decided later, the report said.
A day earlier, Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported that the automaker plans to cut an additional 10,000 jobs, resulting in a total of 20,000 job cuts globally, or about 15% of its workforce, amid sluggish sales and rising production costs.
Nissan will report its full-year financial results later on Tuesday.
Tokyo-listed shares of the company closed 3% higher for the day.
