Fubotv earnings beat by $0.10, revenue topped estimates
Investing.com-- Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang is planning a visit to Beijing next week as the company prepares to launch a new artificial intelligence chip tailored for the Chinese market, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The chip, a modified version of Nvidia’s Blackwell RTX Pro 6000 processor, is expected to launch in September and has been redesigned to comply with tightened U.S. export controls under President Donald Trump, the FT report said.
It will exclude advanced features such as high-bandwidth memory and NVLink interconnects, the report stated.
Huang is scheduled to attend the International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing, where he hopes to meet Premier Li Qiang and other senior officials to reaffirm Nvidia’s commitment to China, a key market that accounted for $17.1 billion in revenue last year, the FT reported.
Despite the chip’s reduced capabilities, Chinese firms have reportedly expressed strong interest due to the high cost of switching away from Nvidia’s CUDA software.
However, sales will only begin once Nvidia receives assurances from Washington that the chip won’t be subject to new export bans, the report added.
