TPI Composites files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, plans delisting from Nasdaq
Investing.com-- Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE:UBER) will acquire Taiwanese taxi firm Crown Taxi, local media reports showed on Monday, as the company further expands its presence in international markets, particularly Asia.
The reports did not outline a deal value, while the acquisition still remains subject to regulatory approval.
Crown Taxi is among Taiwan’s biggest taxi operators, and has partnered with Uber since 2017.
Uber has been steadily snapping up local taxi operators across the globe, as the ride hailing platform looks to scale up its presence in overseas markets. Earlier this year, the company folded Indian electric cab service BluSmart into its operations.
The company has also largely brushed off concerns over heightened competition from robotaxis, with the stock trading up nearly 38% so far in 2025.
