Horizons Active ESG Corporate Bond ETF is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by Horizons ETFs Management (Canada) Inc. The fund is co-managed by Fiera Capital Corporation. It invests in fixed income markets of the United States and Canada region. The fund invests directly and through other funds in investment grade corporate debt securities that are rated BBB- or higher. It invests in securities of companies that are deemed socially conscious in their business dealings and directly promote environmental responsibility. The fund employs fundamental analysis to create its portfolio. It seeks to benchmark the performance of its portfolio against a composite index comprised of 70% of the FTSE Canada All Corporate Bond Index and 30% of the Markit iBoxx USD Liquid Investment Grade Index. The fund does not invest in securities of companies operating across adult entertainment, alcohol, cannabis, firearms, gambling, military contracting and tobacco sectors.
