ProShares Trust - ProShares Short S&P Regional Banking is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by ProShare Advisors LLC. The fund invests in the public equity markets of the United States. It takes short positions and uses derivatives such as swap agreements to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the regional banking sector which includes leading regional banks or thrifts. The fund invests in the stocks of companies across all market capitalizations. It also invests in money market instruments. The fund seeks to replicate the inverse of the daily performance of the S&P Regional Banks Select Industry Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology. It was formerly known as ProShares Trust - ProShares Short KBW Regional Banking. ProShares Trust - ProShares Short S&P Regional Banking was formed on April 20, 2010 and is domiciled in the United States.
