It uses derivatives such as forwards, futures, and swap agreements to invest in commodities such as energy, precious metals, base metals, agriculture, and livestock. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the Deutsche Bank Commodity Booster - Dow Jones-UBS Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology. It was formerly known as db x-trackers - db Commodity Booster Bloomberg UCITS ETF. Xtrackers - DB Bloomberg Commodity Optimum Yield Swap UCITS ETF was formed on July 9, 2009 and is domiciled in Luxembourg.
