Alien Metals reports high-grade silver intercepts at Elizabeth Hill

LONDON - Alien Metals Limited (AIM:UFO) announced on Wednesday that its joint venture partner, West Coast Silver Limited (ASX:WCE), has awarded a Phase 2 drilling contract at the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region and reported additional high-grade silver intercepts from its inaugural diamond drilling program.

The contract was awarded to Wallis Drilling Pty Ltd for approximately 1,000 meters of diamond drilling and 2,000-3,000 meters of air core drilling, with work expected to commence in 4-6 weeks.

Recent assay results from drill hole 25WCDD008 revealed 6 meters at 316g/t silver from 44 meters, including 1.4 meters at 1,007g/t silver from 45 meters, and 21 meters at 50g/t silver from 20 meters. Drill hole 25WCDD010 intersected 3.4 meters at 219g/t silver from 63 meters.

These results build on previously reported findings, which included intercepts of 21 meters at 1,047g/t silver from 10 meters in hole 25WCDD001 and 17 meters at 858g/t silver from 5 meters in hole 25WCDD011.

Low-grade silver mineralization was also intercepted in 25WCDD005 at both 165m and 171m on structures associated with the Munni Munni Fault, demonstrating that mineralization is hosted in subsidiary structures related to the main Elizabeth Hill mineralization event.

"We are very encouraged by these latest high grade silver intercepts from Elizabeth Hill which supports the potential to grow the mineralised footprint around the historical mine," said Belinda Murray, Executive Director of Alien Metals.

The Elizabeth Hill project, in which Alien retains a 30% free-carried interest through to a decision to mine, is operated by West Coast Silver. The project was previously mined until operations ceased in 2000 due to low silver prices, producing 1.2 million ounces of silver from just 16,830 tonnes of ore at a head grade of 2,194g/t.

According to the company’s press release statement, the upcoming Phase 2 drilling program will test near-surface mineralization, potential depth extensions, and step-out targets.
