Binance hosted its first offline law enforcement training session in Macao, as part of its ongoing global initiative to enhance blockchain and digital security.

This program aligns with Binance’s ongoing initiatives to educate law enforcement organizations worldwide in blockchain technology and investigation techniques. As reported earlier, Binance Labs recently invested in Zircuit, a zero-knowledge roll-up network with sequencer-level security, further demonstrating its commitment to blockchain innovation and security.

The training session, held on May 21 at the Macao Judiciary Police College, was attended by about forty officers from the Criminal Investigation, Gaming-related, and Economic Crimes Investigation Departments. Binance’s training in Macao also exemplifies its commitment to collaborating with local law enforcement.

Carlos Mak, the investigator within Binance, discussed the cases that Binance has assisted in resolving and highlighted its worldwide law enforcement alliance. These real-world examples provided valuable insights to the participants, and representatives of the Macao Judiciary Police applauded Binance’s effort. The spokesperson added:

“To fight online crime, the Judiciary Police enhances professional training and criminal prevention strategies. This raises the level of knowledge among our staff and teaches them crime prevention linked to virtual assets. We welcome further cooperation and are grateful that Binance is willing to contribute their expertise in blockchain and virtual asset investigation,”

Carlos Mak echoed this sentiment, stating, “We are privileged to be here in Macao to teach this inaugural in-person seminar at the invitation of the Judiciary Police.” He stated that sharing their knowledge with the delegates during the training session was enlightening and beneficial.
