Gold prices steady ahead of Fed decision; weekly weakness noted
Sequans Communications S.A. (SQNS) acquired an additional 755 bitcoins for approximately $88.5 million, bringing its total bitcoin holdings to 3,072 bitcoins as of July 25, 2025.
The Paris-based semiconductor company purchased the bitcoins at an average price of $117,296 per bitcoin, including fees. The company’s total bitcoin investment now amounts to approximately $358.5 million, with an average acquisition price of $116,690 per bitcoin including fees.
Sequans used the full net proceeds from an equity offering completed on July 7, 2025, to purchase the bitcoins. The company describes bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset and has adopted a strategy of acquiring and holding bitcoin using proceeds from equity and debt issuances, cash from operations, and intellectual property monetization.
The company specializes in wireless 4G/5G cellular technology for Internet of Things applications. Sequans provides semiconductor solutions including baseband processors, radio frequency transceivers, modules, software, and protocol stacks for IoT connectivity.
