Intel stock extends gains after report of possible U.S. government stake
Investing.com-- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Vice President JD Vance was the most likely heir apparent to his “Make America Great Again (MAGA)” movement.
Trump also touted Secretary of State Marco Rubio as a potential running mate for Vance in 2028.
“I think most likely, in all fairness he is the vice president,” Trump said, when questioned over whether Vance was the heir apparent.
“I think that Marco is also that somebody that maybe would get together with JD in some form,” Trump told reporters during a White House event.
The president did state that it was too soon to be discussing 2028.
Trump has so far declined to outright endorse Vance as his successor, and has flagged the possibility of running for a third term, even though the U.S. competition limits presidents to two terms.
