Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly fall after Trump comments on weight loss drug pricing
Investing.com -- Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS) stock rose 3% Monday after pop superstar Taylor Swift announced she will release new programming on the Disney+ streaming platform.
The singer revealed on social media platform X that "The Eras Tour | The Final Show," a concert film featuring her entire "Tortured Poets Department" set, along with the first two episodes of "The End of an Era," a six-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries, will premiere on Disney+ on December 12.
"It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety," Swift wrote on X.
According to Variety, the concert film will showcase the Eras Tour finale that took place at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on December 8, 2023. The docuseries will provide "an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world," featuring tour opening acts and guest performers.
This marks Swift’s return to Disney+, where her previous concert film "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" set a record with 4.6 million views in its first three days after its theatrical run. Unlike that earlier release, these new projects will bypass theaters and debut directly on the streaming service.
