Investing.com -- U.S. stock futures were trading higher during Wednesday's evening deals, extending gains among benchmark averages during regular trading as key second-quarter results from chipmaker Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) boosted risk appetite.
By 18:45 ET (22:45 GMT), Dow Jones futures were little changed, S&P 500 futures lifted 0.5%, and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.7%.
In extended deals, Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) lifted 9%, reported Q2 EPS of $2.70 versus $2.07 expected on revenues of $13.51 billion versus $11.13B expected. The company also forecast Q3 2024 revenue at $16B versus $12.61B expected.
Autodesk (NASDAQ:ADSK) lifted 5.9% after the company reported Q2 EPS of $1.91 versus $1.73 expected, while revenues came in at $1.35B versus $1.32B expected. Autodesk also forecasted Q3 2024 EPS in the range of $1.97-$2.03 versus $1.92 expected and revenues in the range of $1.38B-$1.395B versus $1.38B billion expected.
Guess (NYSE:GES) popped 18.6% after the company reported Q2 EPS of $0.72 versus $0.39 expected. Revenues were reported at $665 million versus $638.51M expected.
Splunk (NASDAQ:SPLK) lifted 11% after reporting Q2 EPS of $0.71 versus $0.46 expected, while revenues came in at $911M versus $889.23M expected.
Ahead in Thursday's trade, investors will be closely monitoring core durable goods orders and the Fed's balance sheet.
Among earnings, companies including Intuit (NASDAQ:INTU), Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE:RY), Toronto Dominion Bank (NYSE:TD), and Workday (NASDAQ:WDAY) are scheduled to report quarterly results.

During Tuesday's regular trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 184.2 points or 0.5% to 34,473, the S&P 500 gained 48.5 points or 1.1% to 4,436, and the Nasdaq Composite lifted 215.2 points or 1.6% to 13,721.
On the bond markets, United States 10-Year rates eased to 4.196%.
