Investing.com -- GXO Logistics (NYSE:GXO) announced the launch of GXO IQ, the first AI-powered intelligent platform specifically built for the logistics industry by logistics experts.
The new platform is designed to help businesses manage complex global supply chains by using advanced AI capabilities to orchestrate more productive and dynamic logistics operations.
"Today marks a milestone for GXO and a pivotal moment for the industry as we launch GXO IQ, the first-ever AI-powered, cloud native operating system developed specifically for logistics," said Nizar Trigui, Chief Technology Officer of GXO.
GXO IQ draws on over 20 years of operational data and uses proprietary AI algorithms to manage millions of complex actions across inventory distribution, order processing, shipping, and staffing. The platform was developed by logistics experts and utilizes technology from Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Cloud’s Vertex (NASDAQ:VRTX) AI and Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW) Cortex AI. It also incorporates Google Cloud’s Apigee for secure access to warehouse data.
The platform consists of four integrated layers: a Data Fabric Layer that processes over 200 million signals daily from GXO operations; an AI Orchestration Layer that continuously runs algorithms to predict demand and optimize processes; an End-to-End Execution Layer with comprehensive logistics management capabilities; and an Experience Layer featuring an interactive AI agent called ’GIL’ that provides insights and recommendations.
Paula Natoli, Global Director, Head of Supply Chain & Logistics at Google Cloud, stated: "Our Vertex AI platform helps GXO IQ deliver the predictive insights businesses need to anticipate disruptions and build more resilient, efficient supply chains."
GXO IQ is currently powering GXO Direct for customers in the U.S. and will be widely available to customers in the second half of 2025.
