Investing.com-- Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) plans to reveal technical details of its upcoming Panther Lake laptop processor on Thursday, Reuters reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The showcase marks a crucial moment for the chipmaker as it seeks to restore investor confidence in its manufacturing comeback with the first product built entirely on its next-generation 18A process.
According to the Reuters report, Panther Lake will power high-end laptops and is slated for launch in early 2026.
The chips promise 30% lower energy use and up to a 50% performance boost in graphics and compute tasks compared with the current Lunar Lake generation, which was mostly made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TW:2330), the report said.
Intel recently hosted analysts and journalists for factory tours and technical briefings in Arizona, highlighting its redesigned AI engine and processor cores built for 18A, the report added.
