Moody’s upgrades Agnico Eagle’s rating to A3 on debt reduction
Investing.com -- OpenAI is preparing to release an AI-powered web browser in the coming weeks that will directly compete with Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google Chrome, according to a Reuters report on Wednesday.
The new browser aims to transform how consumers browse the web by leveraging artificial intelligence technology. It will provide OpenAI with more direct access to user data, a key component of Google’s success in the digital advertising market.
According to the report, OpenAI’s browser is designed to keep certain user interactions within a ChatGPT-like native chat interface, potentially reducing the need for users to click through to websites.
If adopted by ChatGPT’s 400 million weekly active users, OpenAI’s browser could put pressure on Google Chrome, which serves as a critical element of Alphabet’s advertising business. Chrome currently helps Alphabet target ads more effectively by collecting user information and routes search traffic to Google’s search engine by default. Alphabet’s advertising business accounts for nearly three-quarters of its total revenue.
