Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) said it delivered 254,695 electric vehicles (EVs) in the second quarter, an increase of 27% on a year-to-year basis.
Still, the reported number came below the Bloomberg consensus of 261,181, while FactSet-owned Street Account was calling for deliveries of 256,520 vehicles for the quarter. In Q1, Tesla delivered 310,048 vehicles globally.
Tesla said it produced 258,580 vehicles, which is higher than the Bloomberg consensus of 247,382.
Earlier this week, Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives warned investors that the Q2 delivery report will be “ugly.” Ives was calling for a number of around 250,000 “with anything above 260k viewed positively by the Street.”
