Smartshares Australian Financials ETF is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by Smartshares Limited. It invests in the public equity markets of Australia. The fund seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the financial sector, excluding real estate investment trusts (REITs). It invests in the stocks of large-cap companies. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P/ASX 200 Financials Ex A-REIT Index, by investing in stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index. Smartshares Australian Financials ETF was formed on March 19, 2015 and is domiciled in New Zealand.
