LAS VEGAS - Several AI startups including Baseten, Luma AI, Mithril, Modular, Rime, and Tensor have selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to power their AI workloads, according to a company statement released Tuesday. Oracle, with its market capitalization of $878 billion and annual revenue of $59 billion, has emerged as a prominent player in the cloud computing space, according to InvestingPro data.

The companies are utilizing OCI AI infrastructure and OCI Supercluster for large-scale AI training, fine-tuning, and inference operations. Oracle’s cloud platform offers low-latency networking, high-performance storage, flexible compute options, and access to GPU resources. The company’s strong infrastructure investments have contributed to its impressive 86.67% year-to-date stock price return, though InvestingPro analysis indicates the stock is currently trading above its Fair Value.

"Baseten operates one of the most complex AI inference infrastructures in the world, spanning thousands of NVIDIA GPUs and multiple global regions," said Tuhin Srivastava, co-founder and CEO of Baseten, which provides an inference platform for AI applications.

Luma AI, which recently launched Ray3, a reasoning video model that generates 16-bit HDR EXR content, is using OCI to deliver high-performance inference capabilities to creators worldwide.

"With OCI, we can deliver models that not only think through complex creative intent but also move at the pace of culture," said Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of Luma AI.

Mithril, an AI Omnicloud platform formerly known as Foundry, is integrating OCI capacity into its services to provide scalable compute resources. Modular, which develops AI optimization tools, selected OCI for its bare metal infrastructure and GPU catalog.

Voice AI company Rime reported achieving compute performance two to three times greater than its previous cloud provider after switching to OCI. Meanwhile, Tensor is using Oracle’s infrastructure to develop its foundation model for autonomous vehicle technology.

"With OCI AI infrastructure we can train and deploy faster, focus on innovation instead of infrastructure, and deliver the ultra-realistic voices our customers rely on," said Lily Clifford, founder and CEO of Rime.

The announcement was made at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, according to the company press release. With a robust gross profit margin of 69.66% and strong revenue growth of 9.67% over the last twelve months, Oracle continues to demonstrate solid financial performance. This platform utilizes Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and other Oracle services to streamline the development of AI applications. Additionally, Oracle introduced the OCI Zettascale10, claimed to be the largest AI supercomputer in the cloud, with up to 16 zettaFLOPS of peak performance. This supercomputer forms part of a collaboration with OpenAI under the Stargate project.

Oracle has also expanded its partnership with Google Cloud, enhancing the Oracle Database@Google Cloud service across multiple regions, including Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America. The new services include Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse and Oracle Exadata Database Service, among others. Furthermore, Oracle launched its Oracle AI Database 26ai, embedding AI capabilities into its core database architecture to improve data management and analytics. Lastly, Oracle has enhanced its Oracle Database@AWS offering with new AI capabilities and expanded procurement options through AWS and Oracle channel partners.
