Investing.com -- Shares of Sectra jumped more than 9% Friday after the medical IT and cybersecurity company reported a 39.9% increase in contracted order bookings and a sharp rise in cash flow for the fiscal year 2024/2025.
For the 12 months ended April 30, contracted order bookings reached SEK 8.71 billion, up from SEK 6.22 billion the previous year.
Guaranteed order bookings more than doubled, increasing 137.7% to SEK 7.65 billion from SEK 3.22 billion.
Net sales grew 9.3% to SEK 3.24 billion, compared with SEK 2.96 billion a year earlier. Recurring revenue rose 19.9% to SEK 2.07 billion and accounted for 63.8% of total sales. Cloud recurring revenue increased 48.9% to SEK 591.1 million.
Operating profit totaled SEK 723 million, a 39.6% rise from SEK 517.8 million the previous year. The result includes a SEK 110 million gain from a patent settlement recognized in the third quarter.
Excluding this item, operating profit increased 18.4% to SEK 613 million, yielding an operating margin of 18.9%.
Cash flow from operations surged 182.7% to SEK 922.4 million, compared with SEK 326.3 million a year ago.
In the fourth quarter, contracted order bookings rose 223.4% to SEK 2,900.3 million. Net sales for the quarter rose 1.8% to SEK 914.1 million.
Recurring revenue increased 24% to SEK 574.6 million, while cloud recurring revenue rose 61.8% to SEK 184.1 million.
Fourth-quarter operating profit was SEK 198.9 million, up 0.8% from the same period a year earlier. The quarterly operating margin was 21.8%.
The board of directors and CEO proposed an ordinary dividend of SEK 1.10 per share, unchanged from the prior year, and an extraordinary dividend of SEK 1 per share. The total proposed dividend yields 0.7% based on the company’s year-end share price.
Total (EPA:TTEF) value growth of the Sectra share for the fiscal year, including the proposed dividends and share price performance, was 36.3%.
The company cited higher demand for medical imaging IT systems and secure communication services as contributing factors to the growth in order bookings and recurring revenue. Sectra also continued to expand its cloud-based offerings during the fiscal year.
