SOUTH AFRICA MARKETS
South Africa's rand sunk to a new two-month low on Monday in
a broad emerging market sell-off, as a rise in U.S. Treasury
yields lifted the dollar and battered riskier assets.
MARKETS
The Kenyan shilling KES= held steady against the dollar on
Monday, mainly due to subdued demand for hard currency in
the face of healthy supplies from remittances and
horticulture exports, traders said.

Senegal opposition leader Ousmane Sonko called on Monday for
more protests against President Macky Sall after being
indicted and released on bail over a rape charge that has
sparked violent unrest across the country.
