SoFi stock falls after announcing $1.5B public offering of common stock
Investing.com -- Amazon is planning to end its partnership with the U.S. Postal Service by the end of 2026 and expand its own nationwide delivery network, according to a report by the Washington Post.
The e-commerce giant has been the Postal Service’s largest customer, generating more than $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025, which represents approximately 7.5% of the agency’s yearly revenue, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Amazon had been negotiating with the Postal Service on "negotiated service agreements" that would establish favorable rates and higher package volume benchmarks. However, these formal discussions have largely ended without reaching a deal.
The company is now preparing to redirect billions of packages away from the Postal Service and handle them through its own delivery infrastructure by the end of 2026. This move could potentially position Amazon as the most widespread delivery service in the United States.
The report indicated that these plans are not yet finalized and could still change.
