Investing.com -- U.S. stock futures edged higher Friday, ahead of the release of a key inflation number that could influence future Federal reserve monetary policy.

Here are some of the biggest premarket U.S. stock movers today:

  • Nike (NYSE:NKE) stock rose 9.9% after the sports retailer reported fiscal fourth-quarter results that beat analyst estimates, while the company said the financial hit from its ongoing turnaround effort has likely bottomed out.

  • Retailer Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ:LULU) rose 1.7% after Nike’s results, while Hoka-owner Deckers Outdoor (NYSE:DECK) added 1.6%.

  • Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) stock rose 0.8% despite Reuters reporting that the tech giant may face daily fines starting later this month if recent changes to its controversial pay-or-consent advertising model fail to meet European Union standards.

  • Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock rose 0.5% after CEO Elon Musk fired Omead Afshar, the automaker’s vice president of manufacturing and operations, as the EV manufacturer struggles with slowing global demand.

  • Uber (NYSE:UBER) stock rose 0.4% despite Canaccord Genuity downgrading its stance on the ride-hailing company to “hold” from “buy,” citing rising uncertainty from the accelerating rollout of autonomous vehicles.

  • CorMedix (NASDAQ:CRMD) stock fell over 11% after the biopharmaceutical company announced a common stock offering of $85 million, to be done through RBC Capital Markets.

  • Core Scientific (NASDAQ:CORZ) stock gained 7.4% after The Wall Street Journal reported that artificial intelligence infrastructure vendor CoreWeave is in talks to acquire the bitcoin mining and hosting provider.
