Investing.com -- Toyota (TYO:7203) is recalling 591,377 vehicles in the United States because of a problem with instrument panel displays that fail to show critical information, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced Thursday.

The recall affects multiple Toyota models including the Venza, Highlander, Tacoma, GR Corolla, and various Lexus vehicles.

According to the NHTSA, the affected vehicles have an error in the instrument panel software that can occur during vehicle startup. This error prevents the display of important information such as vehicle speed, brake system warnings, and tire pressure warning lights.
