UBS Emerging Markets Index Fund is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by UBS Global Asset Management (Australia) Ltd. The fund invests in the public equity markets of China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap and mid-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI Asia APEX 50 ex Tobacco ex Controversial Weapons Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index. The fund does not invest in the stocks of companies with significant business activities involving tobacco and those engaged in the production of cluster bombs, landmines, chemical and biological weapons, and depleted uranium weapons. It was formerly known as UBS IQ MSCI Asia APEX 50 Ethical ETF. UBS Emerging Markets Index Fund was formed on February 4, 2015 and is domiciled in Australia.
