Investing.com -- U.S. stock futures traded marginally higher, with investors digesting a new trade deal with Vietnam ahead of the release of the widely-watched monthly jobs report.

Here are some of the biggest premarket U.S. stock movers today:

  • Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock gained 0.1% after the EV manufacturer’s second-quarter deliveries were “meaningfully better than feared,” said Deutsche Bank (ETR:DBKGn) analyst Edison Yu, marking a "surprising 2Q volume beat."

  • FedEx (NYSE:FDX) stock rose 1% after BNP Paribas upgraded its stance on the delivery giant all the way to “outperform” from “underperform”, saying the stock is “arguable oversold.”

  • Tripadvisor (NASDAQ:TRIP) stock rose 6.3% after the Wall Street Journal reported that activist investor Starboard Value has taken a stake of more than 9% in the online travel company.

  • Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) stock rose 0.6% after Needham upgraded its stance on the tech giant to “hold” from “underperform”, citing better-than-expected second-quarter results and strong labor productivity metrics.

  • BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) stock fell 0.1% after Bloomberg reported that the asset manager is exploring a potential sale of its stake in Saudi Aramco’s natural-gas pipeline leasing entity.

  • Datadog (NASDAQ:DDOG) shares gained 9.4% after the software company’s stock was announced as the newest addition to the S&P 500 index, replacing Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR).

  • Synopsys (NASDAQ:SNPS) and Cadence Design (NASDAQ:CDNS) both rose over 5% after the U.S. lifted export restrictions on semiconductor design software to China, boosting the industry’s top players.

  • Xponential Fitness (NYSE:XPOF) stock soared 18% after the boutique fitness franchiser announced that after cooperating with an SEC probe, the regulator concluded its investigation without action.

  • Alibaba (NYSE:BABA) ADRs fell 2.7% after the Chinese tech giant announced plans to raise approximately HK$12 billion ($1.53 billion) through exchangeable bonds to increase investments in cloud infrastructure and global commerce operations.
