Alteo Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in growing and milling sugarcane in Mauritius, Kenya, and Tanzania. It operates in three segments: Sugar, Energy, and Property. The Sugar segment is involved in the planting and harvesting of sugar cane and other food crops, sugar cane milling, and sugar refining. Its Energy segment operates bagasse and coal power plants to supply steam and electricity. The Property segment engages in the promotion, marketing, and sale of villas, apartments, and serviced land, as well as the operation of an 18-hole championship golf course located in Anahita. The company is also involved in the operation of a solar energy farm; production of electricity; and construction of villas. In addition, it provides hospitality and leisure, real estate, planter, vocational and professional training, and farming and poultry farming services. Alteo Limited was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Saint Pierre, Mauritius.
