PT Budi Starch & Sweetener Tbk, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and sale of tapioca and modified tapioca starch, sweeteners, plastic packaging, sulfuric acid, and other chemicals in Indonesia and internationally. It operates through the Tapioca Starch, Sweeteners, Sulfuric Acid and Other Chemical Products, and Plastic Packaging segments. The Tapioca Starch segment offers food and chemical ingredients, seasoning, and paper and clothing manufacturing products. The Sweeteners segment provides glucose, fructose, sorbitol, and maltodextrin. The Plastic Packaging segment provides woven bags for packaging applications. The Sulfuric Acid and Other Chemical Products segment offers products for the fertilizer mill industry, rayons, dyeing agents, medicines, detergents, inorganic salts, oil refining, metallurgical processes. The company was formerly known as PT Budi Acid Jaya Tbk and changed its name to PT Budi Starch & Sweetener Tbk in July 2013. PT Budi Starch & Sweetener Tbk was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia.
