Eastern Insurance Company Limited operates as a general insurance company in Bangladesh. The company offers corporate insurance products, including business interruption, industrial all risk, property all risk, electronic equipment, erection all risk, general liability, product and public liability, engineering, hotel owner’s all risk, event cover, and power plant operational package insurance products. It also provides financial insurance products, such as cash in safe, cash in transit, cash on counter, burglary and house breaking, fidelity guarantee, BBB, and liability insurance products; and conventional insurance products comprising fire, marine cargo and hull, aviation, and workmen’s compensation insurance products, as well as commercial, private, and other type motor vehicle insurance products. In addition, the company offers personal accident, and overseas mediclaim insurance products; and hajj umrah, travel, critical illness, student’s health, and inland travel insurance products. Further, it operates a brokerage house for securities trading in the stock market. The company was incorporated in 1986 and is headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
