The company was formerly known as Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso S.p.A. and changed its name to GEDI Gruppo Editoriale S.p.A. in May 2017. The company was founded in 1955 and is based in Turin, Italy. As of April 23, 2020, GEDI Gruppo Editoriale S.p.A operates as a subsidiary of Exor N.V.
