Hindusthan Udyog Limited manufactures and sells alloy and stainless-steel castings in India. Its castings are used in turbines, metal shredding, heavy earth equipment, earth moving and mining equipment, power plants, pumps, valves, compressors, and other heavy engineering industries. The company also manufactures material handling equipment for use in the mines, cement plants, power plants, and other general engineering sectors. Hindusthan Udyog Limited was formerly known as Hindusthan Sheet Metal Limited and changed its name to Hindusthan Udyog Limited in May 1995. The company was incorporated in 1947 and is based in Kolkata, India.
