Lactose (India) Limited engages in the manufacture and trading of pharmaceutical products in India and internationally. The company offers lactose monohydrate; solid dosage forms comprising dry granulated, film, and lacquer coated tablets, as well as uncoated and blister packed solid dose forms; and liquid dosage forms. It also provides disaccharide lactulose, an active pharmaceutical ingredient that is used in the treatment of constipation, hepatitis, encephalopathy, intestinal microflora, dental care, diabetes, and chronic liver disease, as well as for use as a prebiotic. In addition, the company exports its products. Lactose (India) Limited was incorporated in 1991 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
