The company is involved in the investment and management of listed, private equity, fixed income, and unit trust investments; production and sale of palm oil, palm kernel, and fresh fruit bunches; and manufacture, marketing, and sale of refined oils and specialty fats to the bakery, chocolate and confectionery, ice creams, and creamer industries, as well as cooking oil products to end consumers. It also engages in the production and sale of beer; import and marketing of beer and spirits; letting of office and warehouse premises for commercial purposes; and hoteliering business. In addition, the company provides business outsourcing, management, and support services. It serves corporate, government, wholesale, and retail customers. The company was founded in 1857 and is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
