It operates through Personal Banking, Corporate Banking, International Operations, Dealing/Treasury, and NBFI, Real Estate & Services segments. The company offers current savings, money market, investment, and foreign currency accounts; fixed and investment deposits; treasury bonds and bills; and credit, debit, and prepaid cards. It also provides loan products, including home, personal, gold, pre shipment, import demand, pledge, agricultural, SME, and short- and long-term loans, as well as syndicated and project financing, renewable energy financing, escrow, overdraft, leasing, microfinance, and domestic factoring services. In addition, the company offers guarantee services; trade and finance services, such as export bills purchase, letters of credit and guarantee, and draft purchase; import documents release services; and import and export trade services. Further, it provides treasury products and services comprising investment, foreign exchange, fixed income, and financial derivative products; and investment banking services. Additionally, the company offers remittance, margin trading, transaction processing, card services, internet, mobile, and digital banking services. Furthermore, it provides bancassurance and Islamic banking products and services; information and communication technology related products and services; insurance brokerage; and property development and other utility services. The company was founded in 1920 and is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
