Dharani Sugars and Chemicals Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of manufacturing white sugar, generation of electricity and production of industrial alcohol. The Company’s operations predominantly relate to manufacturing of Sugar, Co-generation of Power, and production of Industrial Alcohol. Other business segments reported are Distillery and Power. Its Sugar segment includes molasses and other by-products. Its operations are spread over three locations in Tamil Nadu viz., at Dharani Nagar in Tirunelveli District, at Karaipoondi Village, Polur in Thiruvannamalai District and at Kalayanallur Village, Sankarapuram Taluk in Villupuram District. The Company’s three sugar plants have a total crushing capacity of approximately 10,000 tons crushed per day (TCD) and a multi-product distillery of approximately 160 kiloliters per day (KLPD). The Company has a co-generation power plant of 37 megawatts (MWs).
